You are perfectly contented with your life right now. Everything at work or in your business is just wonderful! Everything you set out to do is accomplished within the time frame allotted. You have all the money you want and then some. You live in your dream home, drive your dream car, frequent the nicest restaurants and you hang out with the best people in the world. Your family life and social life couldn’t be better. You have no conflicts with anyone, including yourself and everything describes your life to a tee, please put this book down. It’s not for you. This book is for the rest of us who have yet to attain such utopia.
First of all, we must take full responsibility for where we are right now. We can NOT blame or congratulate anyone else for our current circumstances. Yes, other peoples decisions and actions do affect our lives but it’s up to us how we respond to them. We decide whether to use them to hinder us or propel us toward our destination.
Do You Like The Results You Are Getting?
So, look at your life. Have your decisions brought you to exactly where you want to be? If you’re like me, you’re not. We are not getting all the desired results. Let’s explore.
These questions will help you get to where you want to go from where you are right now. Where are you? You must know where you are right now to begin this journey. If you don’t know this you’ll not know what direction to take your first step. As you’ve suspected, this is a process and not an overnight sensation. Where do you want to be? Your vision must be clear and concise, otherwise, how will you know when you have arrived? It’s just like using “Mapquest”. You first type in the address of your starting point; enter the address of your destination and viola! It lays out the course right before your eyes. If you’ve actually tried to follow the directions, you’ve found that it does not always take into consideration any new detours due to construction. The same is true in our pursuit of happiness. However, if your destination is clear, you will find landmarks along the way to assure you that you’re on the right track (or off course). This assessment is something that should be done on a regular basis. It’s better to find out that you’ve veered off course sooner than later.
Are you ready to actually ask and answer these questions for yourself? You may have to get off by yourself somewhere and do this. I suggest writing down your answers or keep a journal to track your progress, analyze what’s helping or hindering you and take the appropriate actions. If you are serious about getting ahead, these simple steps are NOT an option; they are a requirement! If not implemented, you will remain on the path you’re on now that leads to results you do not want.
Where am I?
There are a few areas of your life that you need to address
-
your work/business
-
your relationships
-
your family
-
your finances
-
entertainment
Think of each of these in a wheel. I want you to draw a circle (wheel) with spokes. Between each spoke, label each of the areas listed above. Now evaluate each section according to where you are now, the outer rim being perfect, the center being the worst. Draw a line at the point you see yourself. (Again, don’t just read this, DO IT)
How does it look? Did you identify your strengths; your weaknesses? If you were to roll that wheel, would you get stuck? I would. There are some areas of my life that needs more work than others and I bet it’s the same with your life. Our goal is to have a well rounded life so we get to where we’re going as quickly as we can. We’ve got to concentrate on the places that make us stuck first. As we get the results we want, the ride may still be a bit bumpy but we can keep rolling as we work toward our destination.
Can you see why it’s so important to know where we are now? Can you see the first step toward where you want to go?
Here is the key to unlock everything. This is not in bold print (maybe it should be) but is a significant nugget. This will not be easy to swallow but is imperative for you to comprehend to grow as a person.
Like it or not, your life is exactly as you have made it. You are the architect of your life, good or bad. All of your problems were created by you and you alone; not by your partner, your parents, your boss, anyone. All of your successes were created by you, not by luck or chance.
It is critical that you understand that nobody else is to blame for your troubles. Until you accept this as fact, and until you stop blaming others for your problems, you will not be able to create a better life for yourself. I know this is difficult for you (as it was for me) but once you do, a whole new world with unlimited possibilities will open up for you.
Now before you start condemning yourself, or feeling guilty, know that you’ve been forgiven already. If the Creator of the universe has forgiven you, you MUST NOT hold on to the guilt or shame you may be feeling. He has come that YOU may have LIFE and Life abundantly. This is a free gift and we must not refuse such a valuable gift. This is a matter of life or death!
What Do You Value in Life?
There are many definitions for the word value, but for the purposes of this writing, we will associate it with degree of excellence and to rate in usefulness or importance.
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” is a value most would agree to. Another would be “Love people and use money.” When someone lives outside their own value system, or the one they were brought up with, there is an internal conflict. Basically, we become at war with ourselves, and this is manifested in several different ways. You tend to surround yourself with those of like values. You seldom see a hardened criminal hanging out at church functions unless he/she had a life changing experience where their core value system changed. Nor would you go into business with someone known for working shady deals or is a thief.
Why are values important in your life? This is the baseline from which all decisions are made; a code of ethics as you will. You make a decision in line with your values, you feel good about your decision. If you make one not in line with them, you feel those red flags go up and hopefully, you’ll change your mind. If you don’t, the decision will catch up with you at some point. That bad little seed will take root and grow into a bad plant, bush or tree.
Have you ever thought about what your values are? How does one identify values? The simplest way is ask yourself, “What’s important to me?” It could be your family, your relationships, your job or your business. Another way to identify them is find out what you admire in others. That is a pretty good indication of what your values are.
What do You Want?
May I be candid with you for a moment? In answering this question for myself, I nearly hit a brick wall. I had spent so long living for others, I lost site of what I wanted! You see, back many years ago, I adopted the value of others first, me last. Through my religious training, I thought that this was the “right” way to be. I did not take into consideration that I was to love my neighbor as myself. I loved my neighbors, but I did not love myself. The longer I lived for others without consideration for myself, I ended up not even liking or respecting myself. My self esteem was rock bottom. Upon the foundation of living for others, I built another false belief, I didn’t deserve whatever I wanted. This was buried so deeply within me, I had to have a coach, bring it to the surface so I can identify and reshape this value into a useful one. I’m still peeling back the layers I’ve built for myself to get free of them to this day. In it’s place I’m building a value whereby I love myself (as I should). Since I can love myself, I’m free to decide what I want apart from what anyone else’s opinion.
OK, your turn. I sure hope you don’t have that kind of conflict! So, what do YOU want? What are YOUR dreams? What does this question mean?
Let’s start with your physical surroundings. Picture in your mind you living in your dream house. What does it look like? How many rooms does it have? Describe the kitchen and living room in detail, from what your cabinets look like and the color of your furniture. Where is your dream house? Is your dream car parked outside or is it in the garage? What are you doing? Be as vivid as you can during this daydream. Who is with you? Stretch your mind and imagine how you truly want to live
What if I can’t have it? Get that thought right out of your head NOW! It is a lie from the pit of hell. Pardon my language but it truly is. If you can dream it you CAN have it. Everything starts as a thought. That thought is the first step to acquiring anything you want.
The question really is how badly do you want it?
Now it’s time to put the greatest computer ever created (the one between your ears) to work. Now that you’ve determined what you want, the next question is HOW?
Did you know that your mind doesn’t know the difference between fantasy and reality? With this knowledge, even what seems impossible becomes possible with your problem solving brain. Just look at all of the technology we have now that we take for granted; TV, computer that fits on our lap, even the light bulb. Not too long ago, these were all thought to be impossible. I’m glad that these guys didn’t listen. As you go for your dreams, you shouldn’t listen either. A way will be made where there is no way! That includes where the money is coming from to pay for your dream.
Perhaps part of your dream is to be an inventor, own your own business, be a writer or even be a rock star. ALL things are possible to those who believe. What if I can’t make money doing it? You can make money doing anything. I will talk more about this in the Money chapter . (put in chapter name)
Who am I, what do I want, what is my purpose?
These are the three most powerful questions you could ask yourself. When you answer these questions, truthfully and honestly, you will have your answers to life and will know beyond a shadow of doubt that you have what it takes to be successful in any endeavor.
In discovering who you are, you will find that you are an incredible being, made in the image of the Creator of the Universe. You are spirit (energy), that can think, reason and feel emotions, (soul) and you reside in a body. All three of these parts exist as one that makes each one of us unique and special. I have much to say about this but that will be for another book. Right now, I’m just covering some basics. Learning about yourself is extremely important because everything in your life starts with you. You create your own life by choosing which thoughts to dwell on, which actions to take and you choose how you respond to outside influences. You choose your values, what’s important to you, the direction of your life and even the steps to get there. Our Creator has given each of us free will.
The next question is what do you want? Only you can answer this one. Based on who you are, your strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes, interests and things that excite you, you make that decision. As I said earlier, this was tough for me. I had to experiment with a few things to find out what I wanted. It may be the same for you but when you find out, then you know what you’re looking for and you also find your purpose.
Your purpose is the why behind your desire. Again, only you can determine that and only you can fulfill your purpose.
You may be saying, “I know what I want and every time I go after it, I get burned or I don’t get the results I’m after.” Anyone Can Change Their Results. If you’re struggling to make money on line or recruit people into your business, there is a way to be successful.
The sure way to Fail is to not even try
If you have tried, and failed before, please don’t be alarmed. It is common during the learning process. All that needs to be done is to use what you’ve learned as a stepping stone to repeat what worked and eliminate what didn’t. It is best if you start out with a proven system; one that has been used successfully and is duplicatable.
One mistake that most of us make is we try to sell the product/service and not the system. Without a system in place for those who do sign up to follow, failure is a sure thing! This person will probably get very discouraged and drop out. Then they will say it doesn’t work. However, if you sell them on “how to”, then they can use that to be successful over and over again!
How do I begin? You begin by taking the first step! Here is a link to a PROVEN system that anyone, even you, can follow even if you have a limited budget. There is absolutely no hype or fluff. It is simple and straight forward. Watch this video right now!

The Choice Is Yours. What if I tried before and failed? Everyone Fails, let the dead bury the dead. The biggest reason is your mindset. Much of what is written in this book has to do with the correct mindset which will guarantee your success. You failed because you tried, trying is failure with a nicer name. You must believe you receive (in present tense). We will be dealing with that issue in detail as this IS the largest stumbling block we all face. Get our attitude adjusted correctly and then NOTHING will be impossible.
