I just observed this reaction and in trying to interpret this sensation as either fear or excitement in a positive way, I chose to interpret it as intuition that something wonderful is about to happen, keeping my mind focused of how good whatever this is I’m anticipating. My intuition is something I’ve been working on regaining and am once again learning to utilize.

In working through my personal roadblocks and “forcing” myself to think positively when it looks like my success is always just out of reach…I now have one more great thing to be grateful for and another leg for my new belief system. After a lifetime of thinking from the position of lack, building my new beliefs of always having what I need (and sometimes want) has NOT been easy! I do know that in order to change my circumstances, I myself must change first. Let me tell you that I’m not easy to change, even though I am the only one who can do it.

I also know that what goes around, comes around or You reap what you sow. Anyhow, I was really impressed with the work that Home Choice had done for my husband and me in preparation for our new house. I was going to make a slideshow video for my friends and family who live in other parts of the country anyway. so, while I was making it, it hit me. Why don’t I add their phone number at the end of it and make it a free commercial as it will. I called and asked if I could really promote it to perhaps help them out during this awful construction slump. Long story short, they said yes. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve posted anything.  I’ve been enjoying visits from my wonderful grandchildren over spring break.  Needless to say, we had a marvelous time and we were all sad to see our time together coming to an end.

Today I’d like to share with you an incredible lesson I’d obtained this morning during my Six Minutes to Success.  It’s about Roadblocks to our success.  This is taken directly from the book “The Secrets of Leadership” by Frank Kickbush. This answers some of the questions I’ve been having in my own quest toward mastering The Law of Attraction and creating the life I desire.  Most likely, you’ve had some questions as well.  The question is “Why am I unable to manifest that which I know is already mine?  I seem to have hit roadblocks to success.”

Today, I’ve been shown what those roadblocks are so I can tackle them one by one and overcome them.  Do you have any of these affecting your success?

We move backwards, to the right or to the left from obtaining our desires

• Whenever we are indecisive, waffle or are unclear in what we want to create in our life
• Whenever we change a decision we have made, change our mind or picture the polar opposite of what we want
• Whenever we entertain limiting thoughts of fear, guilt, unworthiness
• Whenever we lack belief or trust in ourselves, in universal possibility and potential resources
• Whenever we lack deep commitment to following through with our decision
• Whenever we lack faith and expectation in the real but unseen phase of physical creation

This brings me to my point in today’s post.  I had a comment recently about when you have the question, the answer will be provided.  That IS TRUE!

My passion in life has always been to help develop character in people to make them the best person they can or want to be.  I have many, many years of study and in the past year, I’ve actually had the time to internalize some universal laws I’ve been studying.  By internalizing, I mean take the conscious truth and embedding into my subconscious mind.  I, like everyone else, had definite flaws in my belief system that were no longer serving me or even completely WRONG.  I’m a pretty thick headed person so it probably took me more time than others might take but I was persistent.  I have shared many of the techniques I’ve used in previous posts.

My question was, HOW can I help the most amount of people by sharing the wisdom I’ve acquired AND create an income doing it.  I had this question for years.  My first step was to make sure I KNEW what these truths are; by both being able to tell you what they are and by “actually living” them.  I feel it’s important to have both as I have a FIRM FOUNDATION to stand on.   Now I feel it’s important to take the next step…share what I know with anyone who wants to know.  That’s the reason I started this blog.  I’m definitely not a marketing guru so not many people are aware of this site or how to get on my mailing list to receive more in depth lessons.  (sign up for my newsletter on the right)

5 Secret Strategies of a Millionaire Expert

The Blarney Stone is a historical stone, or actually part of the Blarney Castle in Ireland where it was believed that kissing the stone can grant you the gift of gab. Yeah, it seems strange in this day and age, but who are we to question tradition? It’s not like I’m saying that Santa Claus doesn’t exist (OOPS!).

There is so much to know about conversation that anyone, even I, could ever realize. You can go though watching talk shows; radio programs; clubs dedicated to public speaking; ordinary conversations; certain rules still apply when it comes to interaction through words. It may sound tedious, I know, but even though it’s your mouth that’s doing the work, your brain works twice as hard to churn out a lot of things you know. So what better way to start learning to be an effective communication is to know the very person closest to you: yourself.

1. What you know.
Education is all about learning the basics, but to be an effective speaker is to practice what you’ve learned. My stint as guest at every Toastmasters’ meeting I go to taught me that we all have our limitations, but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn to keep up and share what we know.

2. Listening.
It’s just as important as asking questions. Sometimes listening to the sound of our own voice can teach us to be a little bit confident with ourselves and to say the things we believe in with conviction.  I find that it is better to learn listening skills so that when you do respond, you know how to answer what is actually being asked.  Most of us are so concerned with sharing our own ideas, we miss out on how to help others effectively.

3. Humility
We all make mistakes, and sometimes we tend to slur our words, stutter, and probably mispronounce certain words even though we know what it means, but rarely use it only to impress listeners. So in a group, don’t be afraid to ask if you’re saying the right word properly and if they’re unsure about it then make a joke out of it. I promise you it’ll make everyone laugh and you can get away with it as well.

4. Eye Contact
There’s a lot to say when it comes to directing your attention to your audience with an eye-catching gaze. It’s important that you keep your focus when talking to a large group in a meeting or a gathering, even though he or she may be gorgeous.

5. Kidding around
A little bit of humor can do wonders to lift the tension, or worse boredom when making your speech. That way, you’ll get the attention of the majority of the crowd and they’ll feel that you’re just as approachable, and as human to those who listen.

6. Be like the rest of them
Interaction is all about mingling with other people. You’ll get a lot of ideas, as well as knowing what people make them as they are.

7. Me, Myself, and I
Admit it, there are times you sing to yourself in the shower. I know I do! Listening to the sound of your own voice while you practice your speech in front of a mirror can help correct the stress areas of your pitch. And while you’re at it you can spruce up as well.

8. With a smile
A smile says it all much like eye contact. There’s no point on grimacing or frowning in a meeting or a gathering, unless it’s a wake. You can better express what you’re saying when you smile.  I used to be in radio and did you know that people know if you’re smiling or not even when they don’t see you?  It’s true!

9. A Role Model
There must be at least one or two people in your life you have listened to when they’re at a public gathering or maybe at church. Sure they read their lines, but taking a mental note of how they emphasize what they say can help you once you take center stage.

10. Preparation
Make the best out of preparation rather than just scribbling notes and often in a hurried panic. Some people like to write things down on index cards, while other resort to being a little more silly as they look at their notes written on the palm of their hand (not for clammy hands, please). Just be comfortable with what you know since you enjoy your work.

And that about wraps it up. These suggestions are rather amateurish in edgewise, but I’ve learned to empower myself when it comes to public or private speaking and it never hurts to be with people to listen how they make conversations and meetings far more enjoyable as well as educational.

Oh, One more thing.  I guess this makes it 11 Ways…When you do speak publically, something I keep in mind is not the size of the crowd…I’m speaking to only One person.  There’s a couple of reasons for this:  The first one is the fear factor.  Some of us are terrified to get up and speak to a large gathering.  Just look at it as speaking to a friend and some of the fear goes away.  The other reason is that those listening feel a more intimate connection with you and relate to what you’re saying much more than just listening to a lecture.  (I used this technique both publically and on the radio.)

When you feel strongly about something without logical basis to it, that’s called intuition. It comes in three impressions: clairvoyance or “the third eye”, sensing clearly and feeling through listening.

Clairvoyance is when your eye goes beyond what it can see. This is when you know what is happening somewhere.

Sensing clearly is basically what we refer to as “hunch” or “gut feel.” This is the time when you are overwhelmed with a feeling and you can’t explain it and all you can say is “I just know.”

On the other hand, feeling through listening or clairaudience is being able to “listen” between the lines. Intuition also happens at times when a certain sound, whatever it is – be it a car’s honk or a bird’s twitting – ushers in an intense feeling.

They say only a number of people are gifted with intuition. Astrologers even insist that people born under the Scorpio or Pisces signs are naturally intuitive it almost borders on E.S.P. But studies have been sprouting left and right that proclaim that anyone can develop intuition.

Why the need to develop intuition, you ask? Why not let your emotional and psychological state as it is? First and foremost, intuition promotes good communication. It makes you more sensitive to the people around you; it often keeps you from hurting those you love because you are intuitive enough to understand them. Intuition also makes you far more creative than ever. Intuition means releasing more creative juices for any means of expression. Lastly, intuition has a healing power. This healing power is not in the physical sense, but in delving deep into your soul to eradicate some negative energy buried in it.

With that being said, are you ready to develop your intuition? Here are some ways to unlock this gift:

1. Hypnosis

Oh yes, get yourself hypnotized. Hypnosis is not limited to watching a pendulum move back and forth. Perform self-hypnosis or you can avail of hypnotic programs that can strengthen your intuition.  A form of hypnosis and meditation I’ve experimented with is audio entrainment.  Entrainment is defined as the synchronization of two or more rhythmic cycles. The purpose is to synchronize your conscious and subconscious mind (to become single-minded).  The program I used was Manifestation Meditation. (I am not an affiliate)

2. Meditation

Meditating means finding peace in yourself. If your mind and heart are cluttered with too many baggage and hurt,  you wouldn’t be able to quiet down that part of you that could eventually initiate intuition. There are so many ways to meditate: take a yoga class, or just simply practice some breathing that could bring you straight to Zen.

3. Think positive!

A worry-free, fear-free state could do so much to improve your intuitive ability. By staying positive, you attract good energy that would be able to easily recognize imminent feelings and events.

4.  Just let go.

What does this mean? If you are on the brink of making a huge decision, let go of all the inhibitions and head to a quiet place where you could find out where the letting go has brought you. Sometimes you just have to listen to the voice within you, and that voice wouldn’t come out unless you let go.

5. Never expect OR expect a miracle

After letting go of the inhibitions and all those things that stop you from thinking and feeling clearly, never expect for an answer right away. Never expect that the “hunch” would fall on your lap immediately. Give it a little time then you’d just get surprised that — wham! — now you have your answer.  OR   The other line of thought on this is to expect it to happen.  No good thing does God (or the universe) with-hold.  You’ll have to see which method works well for you.

6. Believe in your first impressions.

When you see someone for the first time and think that he is a bit too arrogant for your taste, chances are that impression actually holds true. Most of the time, first impressions are brought by intuition.

7. Stay happy!

See? All you need to be intuitive is to stay happy! Happiness attracts immense power and such power includes intuition. In tapping your intuition, your motivation must be happiness and contentment. Given that premise, intuition will fall to you easily.

Intuition is helpful, because sometimes it leads you to something that cannot be achieved otherwise. A lot of lives have been saved by intuition alone. Decisions are easier done if armed by this gift. Develop intuition now and reap benefits you have never imagined.

As a side note, I’ve found that this is where I connect with God (the Universe).  I just got back into using my intuition after not even considering it for several years.  I always considered myself to be too busy!  What a lie!

Life isn’t the sweetest candy. Sometimes, when I feel like the world is just too heavy, I look around and find people who continued to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then thoughts come popping into my mind like bubbles from nowhere – “How did their life become so adorably sweet? How come they still can manage to laugh and play around despite a busy stressful life?”  Then I pause and observed for awhile… I figured out that maybe, they start to work on a place called ‘self’.

So, how does one become genuinely happy? Step 1 is to love yourself.

My theology professor once said that “loving means accepting.”  To love oneself means to accept that you are not a perfect being, but behind the imperfections must lie a great ounce of courage to be able to discover ways on how to improve your repertoire to recover from our mistakes.

Genuine happiness also pertains to contentment. When you are contented with the job you have, the way you look, with your family, your friends, the place you live in, your car, and all the things you now have – truly, you know the answer to the question “how to be genuinely happy.”

When we discover a small start somewhere from within, that small start will eventually lead to something else, and to something else. But if you keep questioning life lit it has never done you any good, you will never be able to find genuine happiness.

I believe that life is about finding out about right and wrong, trying and failing, wining and losing. These are things that happen as often as you inhale and exhale. Failure, in a person’s life has become as abundant and necessary as air. But this should not hinder us from becoming happy.

How to be genuinely happy in spite all these? I tell you… every time you exert effort to improve the quality of life and your being, whether it is cleaning up your room, helping a friend, taking care of your sick dog, fail on board exams and trying again, life gives you equivalent points for that.

Imagine life as a big score board like those which are used in the NFLs. Every time you take a step forward, you make scoring points. Wouldn’t it be nice to look at that board at the end of each game and think to yourself “Whew! I got a point today. I’m glad I gave it a shot.”, instead of looking at it all blank and murmur “Geez, I didn’t even hit a score today. I wish I had the guts to try out. We could have won!” and then walk away.  I keep score by writing down at least 3 things I did that made me feel proud per day…  Even the little things like I made a stranger feel good by complimenting them, someone at the checkout counter needed a few cents so as not to have to break a larger bill and give it to them, or even a smile to someone who appeared to be down.

Genuine happiness isn’t about driving the hottest Formula 1 car, nor getting the employee of the year award, earning the highest 13th month pay, or beating the sales quota. Sometimes, the most sought after prizes in life doesn’t always go to the fastest, the strongest, the bravest or not even the best. So, how do you become genuinely happy?  Every one has his own definition of ‘happiness’. Happiness for a writer may mean launching as much best selling books as possible. Happiness for a basketball rookie may mean getting the rookie of the year award. Happiness for a beggar may mean a lot of money. Happiness for a business man may mean success. So, really now, how do we become genuinely happy? Simple. You don’t have to have the best things in this world. Its about doing and making the best out of every single thing. When you find yourself smiling at your own mistake and telling your self “Oh, I’ll do better next time”, you carry with you a flame of strong will power to persevere that may spread out like a brush fire. You possess a willingness to stand up again and try – that will make you a genuinely happy person.

Learn to accept yourself and your own faults.   This is not as easy as it sounds for some of us.  I am my own worst critic and that caused me to have a limiting belief that if I wasn’t perfect, I wasn’t worthy of acceptance.  I have finally overcome and replaced that lie using a technique called EFT.  As long as you know how to accept others, including yourself, you will also be accepted. For as long as you love and know how to love, you will receive love ten folds back.

Again, throw me that same question “how to become genuinely happy?”. I’ll refer you to a friend of mine who strongly quoted- “Most of us know that laughter is the best medicine to life’s aches and pain. But most of us don’t know that the best kind of laughter is laughter over self. Coz then you don’t just become happy… you become free.”

“A MILLIONAIRES SECRET”

Washington DC was nasty as could be. As I sat on the bench waiting for my bus to arrive I couldn’t wait to get back to the backwoods of Louisiana. I had almost sat in a pool of blood that was on the far end of the bench and I was ready to go. I truly hope people coming to visit our country don’t make DC one of their stops.

Anyway, before my bus arrived I was approached by a nicely dressed elderly gentleman in need of directions. I told him I had no idea what he was looking for as I too was just passing through. To this day I’m not sure why, but we started talking as if we had known each other for years.

We talked about life, people and eventually the conversation turned to business. It was here that the gentlemen saw something in me, I suppose, that made him feel like sharing what he said was the greatest secret ever told. He said everyone had heard it but almost no one paid any attention to it, even though it was the one thing that could bestow a fortune upon any man or woman who used it.

My ears where definitely starting to perk up. Something about his tone told me this man knew from whereof he spoke. And I wanted to know what the secret was with a passion. He must have sensed my anxiousness because at that very moment he gave me a warning that was almost a scolding.

I’ll try to recount here as best I can the rest of our conversation…

Man: “Do not make the mistake of shrugging off what I am about to tell you because you have heard it before. No doubt you have heard it already from at least one person in your life. You may have even heard it many times. Do you have any aversion to religion Mr. Says?”

Me: “No I don’t. I don’t believe many preachers know what they are talking about or even what they are trying to teach, but I do know the Bible has a lot of great knowledge in it.”

Man: “Good. I would not want you to discount what I am about to tell you because it does come directly from the Bible. But its applications reach far beyond what most people can conceive of. It will take thought, intense pondering on your part, to begin to get some inkling of its power.”

“This simple secret, when applied to business, will draw money to you as easily as water runs down a mountain. Even a fool can apply it and prosper. When applied to relationships, it will create more friends than you can handle” (laughing heartily)

Me: “What is it, I’m dying to know now?”

Man: “Patience Mr. Says, Patience. I will not give it to you as it has always been repeated by fools who have no respect or knowledge of what it even means. No. I will give it to you another way.”

“What type of business are you interested in?”

Me: “Well, I’m dabbling in Mail Order right now. I would like to place ads and sell books.”

Man: “Fine. Fine. Mail Order it is. Let me tell you how to create a fortune in this Mail Order. All you have to do is create the product you want to buy“

Me: “I don’t understand”

Man: “You will”

“You see, you are your market. Whatever you want, there are millions of other people wanting the same thing. That elusive product you are looking for is the product millions of others are also looking for right now.”

“All you have to do is create the product you want to buy, the product you yourself have been looking for. Once you have this product, what would you want the sales message to say so that you know this is the product you have been looking for?”

“If someone else where selling this product, what would you want the ad to say, what would get you to buy this product?. When you have that answer, that is the ad you want to create.”

Me: “I see” (hesitantly)

Man: “See the business across the street here? Pizza. I could triple the business that place does inside of 10 minutes. That’s what I do by the way” (smiling)

“All I would do is walk into the business as a customer. I would sit there and imagine all the things that could be done to me that would make me a loyal customer to that business for life. What could they do for me that would make me feel this way?“

“Once I had the answers to that question, I would implement them across the board. Every customer would be treated the way I had imagined. And without any doubt what so ever that business would triple the profits it now makes.”

Me: “I think I know…”

Man: “Wait, you don’t really know anything yet. That’s the problem with people. They brush something off because of where it came from or because they heard it many times. Leave that for fools. You won’t “know it” until you have deeply pondered it and put it to use.”

Me: “Ok”

Man: “What I am telling you has power undreamed of. The simple words used to describe it cannot contain it. Does not do justice to it, and has been prostituted by blabber mouths who let wisdom fall off their lips with not even a single brain cell grasping what they are rambling about.”

“What I am telling you is Law, not man’s Law, but the very Law’s of nature herself. It’s the way things work and those who truly understand it rise to the top in every field known to man.”

“What people don’t understand is that it applies to everything. This secret can be applied with virtually every step you take, everything you do, every word you speak and everyone concerned profits by it.”

“If you are a writer, write like you would like to be written to”
“If you are a salesman, sell like you would like to be sold to”
“If you are a speaker, speak like you would like to be spoken to”
“If you want more love, then love like you would like to be loved”
“If you want more friends, be the friend you would like to see”

“When you infuse everything you do with this secret it takes on a magical power. Businesses dominate the market, books become best sellers, leaders attract huge and loyal followings.”

“How would you like it?”
“How would you respond to it?”
“How would it make you feel?”

“Those are great questions to think about every time you do or create something. You will get into the hearts and minds of everyone who comes under your influence if you will first think how you would have it done to you.”

“I’m certain you already know the quote from the Bible I’m referring to. But don’t repeat it, just ponder it and pratice it.”

Me: “I do. But I’ve never thought of how it could actually apply to everything in life. I too was one of those fools who passed it over without so much as a second thought. I really want to thank you for sharing this with me.”

Man: “It’s been a real pleasure talking with you Mr. Says, have a safe journey home.”

And with that, he was gone. The funny thing was, as I was riding home on the bus I realized I never got his name, nor do I remember ever giving him mine. Maybe he saw my luggage tag. I’m not sure. It really doesn’t matter. What does matter is that I’ve profited from that advice for the last 15 years.

I’m not even really any good at it either and I’ve still pulled in huge amounts of money. Especially from the Internet. This is one place this knowledge can really shine. People have always asked me my secret. How come the Warriors is still here, with the same products, with all this competition, after all these years?

This one simple secret is the answer. I always ask myself how would I like to be treated by this company? What would I like to see? What would I like to get? How would I like to be dealt with?

Those simple questions are all you have to answer. When you do get the answers, put them into action and watch what happens.
