7 Steps to a Successful Mindset

Everyone I know wants to get ahead in life, financially as well as in all aspects in life.  Below is a list of seven steps toward gaining success in your goal.  Your mindset plays a most important role to your success.

  1. Who are you now? I’m not asking what you do or who your family is.  I’m asking you who YOU are right down to the core of your being.  What are your core beliefs about yourself, the world around you.  What is the basis for every action that you take?  Answer these questions honestly and you have a starting point to begin your journey.  Those who actually take the time to answer them are the ones that have what it takes to succeed.
  2. Who do you want to be? After doing your soul search, are there beliefs you have that no longer serve you or in fact hinder you?  I did.  Some examples are self doubt, fear of failure, worry. There are ways to replace these limiting beliefs with new positive empowering beliefs. You can become the person you want to be.  See that person clearly in your mind and commit to take action daily (small but sure steps) toward becoming that person.
  3. Where are you? Everything starts with where you are now.  After you’ve assessed yourself and who you are, where you are mentally, emotionally, financially is the next thing to determine.  It’s like using GPS.  It always starts from where you are.  What is your mindset, your belief system, founded upon, Truth or Lies?
  4. Where to you want to end up? This is the realization of your life’s dream.  You MUST have a clear image in your mind of what it will look like.  Otherwise, how will you know when you’ve arrived?  I know it sounds silly but in all seriousness, many people wander around in life aimlessly.  Program into your mind your destination. Like the GPS, your mind will begin to map out how to get there.
  5. Set your goals to attain your dream. Your dream is the big picture.  Map out how you’re going to get there.  Now you need to set measurable increments (goals) to get there.  Think of it as going on a long trip and planning out where to stop to get gas, food and use the restroom.  Without these landmarks along the way, you have no idea how close you are and you may run out of fuel! It’s also a good time to recheck your map.
  6. Along the way, you find setback and detours. Such is part of life and what’s important is how we deal with them.  Don’t look at them like obstacles, instead see them as power breaks where you fuel up on more personal power to get to your goal.  This is where you get your strength from, adversities, which you will need to continue along on your journey. It’s really a blessing.
  7. This is the Last Step…what we’ve all been waiting for!  We have arrived at our dream!  Yippee!

Every successful person I know of has taken the time to go through this process.  How badly do you want your dream to come true?  The real answer lies in how much action you are willing to take and in taking the time to think, evaluate, and think some more to establish the most useful mindset, to take the appropriate actions.  You can have what you want if you are willing to do what it takes.  How badly do you want it?  If you are desiring to get ahead financially, I have a recommendation for you.
