WOW! It’s Thursday already. Time sure flies when you’re having fun! I just love waking up in the morning now! Everything is just so fresh and new, more blessings to experience, more friends to meet! Maybe I’ll find someone whom I can encourage today. That would really make my day! “Go ahead, Make my day” Clint Eastwood
Oh Boy, I remember those days when I dreaded getting up in the morning. There was a time when I was in the rut of getting up (in the middle of the night) at 3:00am to get ready for work. I had to be there by 4:30am. I worked all day, got home about 4:00pm, prepared dinner, worked online for a while or until I fell asleep at the computer, dragged myself to bed even before my work was finished only to get up and do it all over again. During that time, the ONLY thing I enjoyed was interacting with my customers…but they became friends over time. Sometimes I was reprimanded for being more interested in my “friends” than in slinging bagels, which is what I was being paid for after all. I felt as if I was wasting my time and energy for a very little amount of money only to make the company more money. This job was just that…a job. I had no aspirations for a bagel career. Eventually, the Universe (To me it’s God) saw fit for me to leave the job. That’s when I knew I was to stay home to care for my dad who was physically declining. My husband was concerned about our income so I took another early morning job but that was not to be either. My boss had overhired and since I was the low man on the totem pole, I was removed from the schedule. That was a few months ago. It was during that time, I found what I want to do for the rest of my life. It is NOT working for someone else.
To make a long story a little shorter, I used that time to really examine myself, what I wanted, not just what everyone around me wanted. I now know what my strengths are as well as my weaknesses. I have created a plan to use my strengths and a plan to cause my weaknesses to turn into strengths. If you’ve been reading my blogs, you know what I’m about. I’m about making myself and as many others who want it as well, the best “me” I can be. My mission statement can best be summed up with the line in The Lord’s Prayer: “Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven” beginning with myself.
My biggest challenge is to compare my current situation to what my potential is. What a HUGE gap! I’ve got a long way to go but I still have the rest of my life to work on it.
A couple of days ago, I wrote how I personally overcome my weaknesses. If you need to go back to read it, please do. This has become part of my daily routine and now EVERY day gets better and better. I have more control over my thoughts and actions, I have definite purpose and vision, I have a set plan to get there. Just taking the time to actually do this creates increasing self esteem and confidence. I’m feeling more empowered to do the things I thought I could never do. It’s even causing me to like myself. I never thought this was important but trust me, it is. You really can’t truly love someone else unless you love yourself first!
These same steps I’m using for developing myself, I’m using in my business. I believe that if I work on myself first; know what my passion is, get myself in tune with that passion, plant those good seeds, I’ll reap a good harvest…both personally and monetarily in due season. As you can see, I’m already reaping the personal payback…HOORAY! It’s just a matter of time before the material compensation shows up!
Please allow me to take you with me on this journey. It’s so much easier to do with some good trusted company. If you are considering working from home, either for a second income or for primary, this mental make-over is a must. I can’t wait for tomorrow; Life is getting better and better every day.
Blessings and Prosperity,
Dale
